Advice On Marketing Plan/art Gallery

Posted by Anonymous on 250 Points
Hello! Seeking to put together some marketing ideas to benefit a local artists alliance in order to move the artwork and create some profitability for the organization to benefit educational programs as well as generate some profitability for the artists. The gallery has a pretty steady following of "observers" but would like to somehow draw more "investors" The gallery is located in a quaint area of Southern Queens that draws a great deal of "summer" crowd.
Any ideas would be appreciated!

In your messages, ask for people to act: say that the local art scene wouldn't be as great as it is without the help of friends like them (readers/listeners/watchers, depending on medium). Write that the alliance graciously accepts donations to help the alliance to continue to thrive.

With the holidays approaching and people in the giving mood, there's no better time than to promote donations as gifts, too.

Why not a talk by an artist or two - showcasing how they approach their art, demonstrations of the techniques, and Q&A by attendees. It's part education, part entertainment, and part sales (if the first 2 parts are done well, the last part is much easier). Consider videoing the talks for your website's alliance as well.
