Need Some Advertising Ideas For Indoor Golf!

Posted by Anonymous on 125 Points
Hi everyone,

I have an indoor golf facility in the heart of the city. A lot of our business comes from business workers who don't have time to go out to the burbs and play a round, so they come in and out and have the option to play quickly, any time of day any time of year.

I've put a lot of time and money in advertising. We have a logo, web site, facebook, brochures, vouchers to send out to key executives in the area to "come out and try it for free"

We wanted to know if you guys had any ideas how to "push" my business in any other way. Any Ideas would help.

For example there is a wall on the side of our building that gets a lot of traffic and right now it is just there filled with bricks. Should I put something up on the wall?

Any Ideas how I should use facebook?

How would you guys attract customers to an indoor golf facility if you had to do so?

Any ideas would be greatly apreciated!

Thanks

    Hey Phil,

Thanks. We are located in Ottawa, the capital of Canada. The economy is terrific. New cars, new homes lots of spending, great!

All of our print ads have had "codes" on them to receive discounts, so like that we know where they heard about us and why they are coming in.

I like your idea of using the wall, I was thinking about that as well as a viable option...

Should go on the streets and give out brochures? Should I do a contest of sorts?

What can I do to get more customers in the door? How do you use facebook to its fullest? (even though it is a younger crowd)

I'm looking for any suggestions at all...

    Thanks,

How about a benefit tournament? Co-market with a local charity. All proceeds go to them. Your goal is to get people in the door and trying your facility. Winning team/person gets a 3-month (or more) membership.

    Hi,
The video idea suggested earlier is a good one. Customer Engagement is a good thought. the most watched video wins.....ur org. may have to monitor the no. of views Tie-ups with corporates esp. the committees which r handling work life balance and such other areas is a good one. Location can also b used for outdoor training esp. training for strategy etc.

Web sites like Mashable, compPREhension, ReadWriteWeb, and copyblogger.com are great resources for how to use Facebook and other social media effectively. The key is to be engaging. Facebook should be used as a tool for conversation with your customers and prospects, not a platform for one-sided advertising messages. Post useful content (like golf tips) and multimedia (customer photos, facility photos, video, etc.) to your page. Engage your "fans" with contests. When it comes to people "liking" your page, focus more on quality than quantity. People who don't understand Facebook often focus too much on obtaining huge numbers of fans/followers rather than getting qualified fans/followers (people who will actually care about the status updates you post -- not completely tune them out). Good luck!
