Starting An Obgyn Site

Posted by c_gabriel99 on 100 Points
About to start a website aimed at promoting OBGYN services. The primary goal is to drive referrals to the practice for specific procedure primarily and general care secondarily. The target audience is patients looking for a physician and own patients.

Should it be symptom driven or service driven? Would information on medical conditions be overwhelming or welcome?

The concern is balancing professionalism of a physician group vs the desire to increase services.

Any ideas on how best to layout the site?

Ant websites that would be a good reference.

WebMD does the whole symptom thing. I'd rather see you go with service. I may be generalizing but I see men as more interested in searching symptoms to see if they really have to go the the Dr or not.

Now a site that explained, in more detail, the service...that might be good. How many potential patients are afraid of the coming in because they're not sure or uncomfortable. Perhaps a secure area where they could ask personal questions.....or even a "chat time" on certain days.

Wow I can't wait until you start that! We need that. I think you should go by symtoms for sure. Maybe a pic of certain symtoms, that aren't you know graphic.
