Name For Chandelier Rental Company

Posted by Anonymous on 500 Points
Hello everyone,

I am starting a company that rents out chandeliers for upscale weddings and events.

I'm not very good at naming and I thought I would get your input. I want a name that comes of as very elegant.

I've come up with the following, but I can't think of "the one":
1. Premier Chandelier Rental
2. Signature Chandelier Rental
3. Royal Chandelier Rental

Thanks for the help!

Do you serve a specific region? If so, incorporate that into your business name ("Chandelier Rentals of Chicago").

So if we come up with 10 on-strategy names, how will you decide among them? What are the criteria you'll use for picking a winner?

If we understand that, there's a good chance we'll be able to come up with a great name. Otherwise, we're just acting as your thesaurus.

What can you tell us about your target audience? Who makes the decision to rent a chandelier? What are their criteria? What's important to them? What words do THEY use to express the benefit they're seeking?

And how do people find out about you/your business? Where would they see/hear the name?

That’s a very good point Michael.

Our target market is high-end wedding vendors (planners, photographers, florists). I guess you would say that the final decision to rent the chandelier is up to the bride and groom, but, in all reality, the vendors hold the key. If the wedding planner wants a chandelier at the reception, the bride will ok it.

Just to be clear, the wedding niche that we are targeting usually spends a minimum of $30k on their wedding.

The vendors criteria for choosing a company is that they are consistent, reliable, and can deliver the desired look. At the end of the day they want the event to look stunning and for the end client (bride and groom) to be happy.

People will primarily find out about our business via word of mouth and also search engines.

In that case, I'd go with any one of the three names you listed. (My personal favorites are #1 and #2.) Or use Jay's suggestion of including a word that lets your target audience know you're local. (Example: Chicago Chandelier Rental)

The name is not nearly as important for your wedding planner audience as it would be if you were marketing directly to the bride/groom/MOTB. The key will be to include strong reassurance in your marketing message that THEY (the planners) will be the hero when they include a chandelier from you. That's because you're reliable and know how to showcase THEIR great work.

You need to be very single-minded in your pursuit of this target audience and not get distracted by the lure of marketing directly to the end-users (i.e., bride and bride's parents).

When I think of Chandeliers or even see them in a church-the first thing that I look at is how well it is positioned into the ceiling. No Joke, a church in my hometown had their chandelier fall from the ceiling. Thankfully, no mass was occurring! Also, I always think of the Phantom of the Operas famous chandelier crash.

Also, looking at the demographic that you are targeting, the bride/groom/wedding planner is worrying about EVERYTHING! I just celebrated my wedding, and was complemented on how well everything went at the event!

What I am getting at is the name that I would think fit very well: "No Fear Chandelier". It's catchy, and you can play off of the phrase-- No Fear Chandelier, your last worry at your big event! (and the .com is available). Good luck with the name selection!!! :D

Wow...this is new...to me. I have many wedding vendor clients and haven't heard of something like this. Perhaps, like martini bars, it will take a while to have planners suggesting your service.

    I like #2.

We OWN a pretty good database of banquet halls & planners if you want to run a campaign. Just contact me offline....make sure you put "Marketing Profs" in the subject line or you'll be deleted.

    Michael
