What's The Cost Of Creating A Corporate Website?

Posted by Anonymous on 50 Points
I'm going through a budget review for 2005 today. The question is do we hire a graphic artist/web designer or outsource to a freelancer? I know how much the headcount will cost me. I have no idea what the range of price would be from a freelancer. I have to do this today, so no time to find a few freelancers and wait for bids. I was hoping some of you may have recently gone through the expense of redesigning your corporate website (say 30 pages, no flash/animation) from scratch. I'm in the SF Bay Area - so I'm sure my costs here would be on the higher side compared to someone in the mid-west. I expect using a freelancer the project would take 30-45 days. Any help with cost would be appreciated.

Well, my company creates websites in a "freelance" type environment. I would be more than happy to give you quote (just click on my name for contact info) .

We really need to review the details of what you need as far as graphics, database, forms, etc. I know you said 30 pages without flash, but a bit more is needed to give an accurate quote. I can say it will be (approx.) within the $1800-$6500 range for a completely custom and optimized site.

Looking forward to speaking with you!

    Hi, Stephanie --

I just finished two from-scratch web design projects, and the final cost averaged about $200-250 per page. I'm in Houston. Your mileage may vary, as you say!

Thanks for your quick responses. I wasn't sure if I should put $5,000 or $15,000 down as a line item in my budget... Your replies have been helpful.
