Why not promote the most important benefit you provide for your customers? THAT is what you really want to communicate.

The fact that you've been around for 16 years is only meaningful to you. Your customers want the benefit you provide, and they'd want it even if your business were 17 years old.

mgoodman is right -- no one cares about business anniversaries except business owners. Your reputation speaks for the longevity. Maintain a credible and reliable status by offering great service for a fair price... then have a party for your 50th Anniversary.

Why not add a new "special offer" for your Sweet 16? Buy/rent 16 things (flowers, chair covers, etc.) and get the 17th free. Or donate to 16 charities (have a contest to select the charities with your customers).

First, congratulations on 16 years in business...that is a milestone of achievement. Having started in 1996, you have weathered a lot of different business environments.

Perhaps what you need to think about is a customer appreciation or thank you event. After all, making 16 years required their support! As indicated in the previous responses, since anniversaries are more for our own sense of achievement, any event or activity should focus on what you do best or are able to contribute because you are in business. And, perhaps if you have employees, a thank you event for them as well.
