Looking For Product Placement For A New Tv Program

We are ready to film a 60 min show that will feature non-profits, what they do, how they do it. We are looking for product placement for the show. Distribution will be through local stations across the US. We will not charge stations for the program to increase the air time. We have a national non-profit that will be featured and 2 unknown non-profits that have signed up for the show. The director has 20 years experience and all production staff are experienced tv and feature film personal but no one with advertising experience. How do we attract product placement? Do we hire a advertising firm? What type of firm should we look for?

    Who is the target audience for your program? If you're thinking that product placement will generate revenue for you, you'll have to figure out what's in it for the advertiser. They'll want to know how much exposure they'll get to THEIR target audience.

    Role play the meeting with a brand manager at a target company. What would he or she want to know? What will this cost them, and what kind of return can they expect on their investment?

    That's where you have to start. Figure out what the perfect product would be and then how that product would benefit from placement on your show. What would it do for them?

    The more specific you can be, the greater the chance that you'll get some takers.

    The national non-profit is run by a NASCAR family so it will have the NASCAR fan base due to the name. Because of the topic of nonprofits we expect a 55-60 percent female fan base with 40 -45 male base due to the male dominated sports fields from which we will choose the main charity. The 1st show features horses ( all little girls love to watch horses ) We are looking for a company or person that has existing experience in this area. We need to know how to find the proper person to work with us on getting the product placement. Where do we need to look?
