Rebrand Small Cos & Adding Services - Wellness

Posted by shyamdave.d on 125 Points
We are a small (8 people) company located in Bangalore, India offering Ayurvedic (alternate health care) consulting, therapies, treatments and beauty care. The market is extremely competitive. We have just survived with little direction, inefficient marketing and poor management but oodles of compassion and caring for our customers and employees. This was a franchisee where the Franchisor did nothing, something like, "While we were having a bath the Franchisor ran away with our clothes". In spite of this we have created intellectual property but no solid property.

Now we want add some more services like Swedish, Thai, Deep Tissue etc. + Body scrub, wrap etc. and re brand ourselves. And 6 to 12 months from now we want to be web visible and market our services to a global clientele. For this we need a new name, logo and a tagline.

What we need is a short name (one word of five letters or in exceptional case two words not exceeding 10 letters) pronounceable by people from all parts of the country and overseas with a crisp sound which suggests health, rejuvenation, beauty, tranquility, stress and pain removal. .

We created one as "Khushi Bhava" (is a Sanskrit word that means "May You Be Happy" & a tagline "Simply Wellness". We are not sure if this is the right one?

All responses acknowledged, information sought will be provided & we will always be grateful and hope to reward what we use as best as we can.

Sanskrit word won't do. it is not a global language. you need an English name which people can easily understand.

i suggest the name "holistic panacea" people around the globe will understand this.

    the tagline will be:

bringing holistic medicine around the world under one roof.

    or

your one stop shop for alternative medicine around the world.

    whichever suits you best.

    Hi Shyamdev,

i suggest you to start from first step.

Who are your target customers who would be using your offered services.

What is going to be your competitive advantage

And look for what customers want - a quality of service, price or bunch of services at one place.

This should clearly define your service name and tagline.

I am in a full support of Puru and arnab with their suggestions.

Sanskrit is the name would not be easily recognized by global players.

    Hope this will help you.

    Dear Mr. Nisman,

Thanks for your advise. I fully agree with you on creating customer profiles. We tried but did not make much headway. We do keep some basic statistics of (1) Walk ins (who, where, what, age, location, etc.) (2) Customers (problems, personal preferences, preferred times & day etc.) (3) List of telephone calls recd. (number, service they are seeking, phone number).
We'll do some tough analysis on that but the staff generally know or claim to know customer profile accurately. Maybe subjecting this data will throw some surprises.

Yes adding services is to increase footfalls, conversions and more business. In some ways some added services are different and we seek a different category of people than our routine/regular clients and in a larger sense they are extensions to what we provide. When we began to think of them we were seeking a bigger repertory of services + depth. We'll have to wait and see the outcomes over the next 3 months.

    Thank you once again.
