Marketing Hand Made Products For Non Profit Corp

Posted by Anonymous on 250 Points
We have designed and created unique decorating trees for home, office or anywhere. All items were hand made by our volunteers and then affixed to the trees.

What are some marketing ideas so that we can sell them at good prices? How can we promote them?

So far we are thinking to feature each creator of the tree and make a brochure, documenting the process, the reason behind their creation, and why they help our foundation. But we are stuck as to how we can promote and sell the items.

Who specifically is likely to want to buy them? Why?
    Where are they located?
Is the process all that interesting or is their usefulness more interesting to the potential buyer?
What % of monies go to the non-profit?

I'm sorry, I'm new here and I don't really know how our communication work. I hope I am supposed to write my comments here...^^

First, thank you both for your comments.

Our volunteers are donating their time and materials that are needed to design the trees. However, after this year, we will need to provide them with the raw materials.

They are designing manzanita trees with their handmade ornaments. They are very nicely made, very classy. I find these type of designed trees in high end hotels and restaurants and department stores these days. Our trees are really very fitting in these areas as well.

We are a non profit organization and with the sales, we hope to help another non profit organization send meal packs to orphans in North Korea by giving them 50% of the money we raise.
