you have a real problem: you are in one of the most fiercely competitive markets on the internet. If you are only using SEO optimization then your website will be appearing around page 23 for your keyword. My guess is that you aren't getting many sales because you aren't getting many visitors.

In a market such as yours, you need to optimize for long-tail keyword chains. Don't think of what you are selling, think of who is buying. Let's have a look at

What is there here for the visitor? A stock photo of your item. A description that restricts itself to the barest of facts.

What you need is something of your own view of what the product is, how you use it - and some tips on how it should be used by someone who is interested in it. Think why someone might want it, what their need is that this product answers. Using that and you have one option for being found.

I would recommend 500 words on each page for serious SEO. This will also help with Adwords etc.

I would start with those pages that have had the most interest, and as you have time, work on the others. That way your work will have the most effect.

Phil! That is not exactly a helpful statement, is it? There are no few of us who had no experience in marketing - yet can do it better than many by simply answering client's questions and meeting their needs.

It isn't hard to do, which is why it surprises me so much that so few people do it.
