Agency Search And Selection Companies In Canada

Does anyone on here have experience with ad agency search and selection companies working in Canada? Preferably those that specialize in digital agency searches.

    Where in Canada? If you're in Toronto and the agency is in Vancouver, for example, you might be better off with an agency in the US.

    We do agency searches for clients when required, and we know how to go about it. It's not clear what the location has to do with the selection process.

    My advice: Don't restrict yourself to a location. Find an experienced marketer who understands the drill.

    Thanks, I should have provided more information.

    We're a digital development company in Western Canada that has been approached by an agency search and selection firm. We haven't worked with recruiters like this before and were hoping to connect with people with similar experience before we jump into a relationship.

    We're talking to other agencies we work with as well, but thought this might be a good forum to connect with as well.

    You're right that the location shouldn't matter. We'd be happy to hear from people with experience from anywhere.

    I've never come across an agency search/selection firm like the one you describe. Do they want you to pay a fee or a percentage of whatever job they get you? Or are they paid by the client? What result do they promise?

    My involvement in agency searches has always been on behalf of clients who are paying me to guide and advise them. It seems somehow unethical to have the agency pay for me to search for, and perhaps select, them. I wonder if the client companies know this is how the "search" is done. Or do I not understand?
