Tagline For Remodeling Company

Posted by mccoyremodeling on 250 Points
Hello I am the owner of a small remodeling company in Virginia Beach, VA. I am trying to come up with a tagline for my company. The company name is McCoy Remodeling. I think I would like to specialize more in kitchen and bathroom remodeling, but at the same time we do alot of rehabs to get homes ready to hit the market. We are young energetic guys but we focus on high quality and great customer relations. My company focus as far as my tagline would be high quality prideful work, honesty/genuineness, and fair affordable pricing. I would even be open to changing my company name if those three things could be incorporated. Any help would be much appreciated.

Unfortunately, "high quality prideful work, honesty/genuine, and fair affordable pricing" is considered expected - no doubt many of your competitors would say the same as you. What do you do that's better/different from the rest (and for who)?

Well for one thing I consider myself an expert on getting a house ready for sale. I have alot of skills that I don't think owners of other companies have. I have a real estate finance degree and structural engineering degree, I am a certified home inspector, I'm a real estate agent, and whether people say they do prideful work from what i've seen around here they are not truthfully doing prideful work. I put serious pride into my work. When i finish a job I sit back look at it reflect on it take pictures and it makes me very happy. Most people just want a check and move on. I treat every house I work on like it is my own and I require all of my employees to do the same. I spend alot of money on labor to make sure people are happy and that i'm happy with the quality. Beyond that we are very clean cut, young and energetic, and I can guarantee we work harder and longer hours than most of my competition. I guess I don't really have a target market, which could be a problem. I will work for anyone. We've worked for banks, realtors, investors, home owners, resturant owners etc. I guess I really don't want to do low end stuff.

    Sorry, I missed this one!

Okay, as someone who started life in the building industry by answering the phones, it quickly became clear to me that something needed to be done about our client base. My ex had picked up some pretty shabby customers.

Now he, like you, put serious pride into his work. I was proud of him too. So for a decade or so we pulled together. I learned what he did and how he did it, all from scratch and not a certificate to be seen. Npw the trick that worked for us over the phone was to start listing our terms and conditions. Many people at around the 90 second mark would butt in and say "yes, but we only want a cheap job". Fine, go and find someone else, then. This as you can imagine didn't go down very well. Nevertheless as a filter it worked like a charm. Those people who wanted a reputable builder were happy to put all the responsibility onto us, confident that we would do as we stated. After the snagging they payed their bill. We were getting referrals within three months - practically unheard of in the UK building trade. My ex was working 20% less time (which meant evenings of course) and profits bounced.

All of which is great, but doesn't get you a tagline, does it? So let's have a go.

Grooming your house for the perfect sale.
Tailoring your home to the perfect buyer.
We know what it takes to sell a home, and we do all of it.
