Improve Landing Page Conversion

Posted by Anonymous on 25 Points
I have been successful at getting visitors from Facebook pay per click/impression to my site. I can average anywhere in between 30-50 unique visitors in a day for a $20-25 dollar a day budget with .20 cents cost for 1000 impressions. My issue is when they come to my landing page for the product I sell what is the best way of converting those visits into sales. I am selling a poetic t-shirts for expectant moms that goes through each trimester of pregnancy up until the time of birth. The landing page is https://www.poeticwear.com/baby_to_be_t-shirt.html

What am I doing wrong? or what improvements need to be made to turn those visits into sales? Please advise.

Firstly it looks as if you are using a html/css setup - a modern search engine (and that includes the ones scanning for PPC) find a CMS databank tastier. That is to say if you went over to Wordpress your quality score would be higher.

Now that doesn't address the conversions issue.

Have you any way to keep your visitors reminded of their visit? Do you have a Facebook page, do you have an email autoresponder/newsletter that they can sign up for? Because the number of people who buy on later visits is quite high. Certainly it isn't something I would want to miss out on in your case.

The other thing is who is visiting your site? Are they mums, dads or parents of mums (or daughters in law)? Each demographic will have a different need.

My first impression of the site did not give me 100% confidence that I could trust the seller. It looks a bit outdated and not very personalized. There are a lot of easy website building sites out there that could help with this. I think consumers are spoiled with amazing websites so if they see one that doesn't really look polished enough it could put doubt into their mind. Online scams are real and you have to project a solid company for people to trust you. Another issue would be the products themselves. I was looking at the dog shirts but the print was so tiny I couldn't get a feel for it, and I could not click on the image to make it bigger. Take a variety of higher resolution images, more of a variety, etc. The more information the better! You have a fun product, just a little refining might make all the difference. Good luck!

Ditch the animated header. Ditch your repetition of what's on the shirt. Offer a better image of the shirt. Show the shirt being warn by a mom-to-be. Increase trust.

How is it possible that there is no picture of a happy pregnant mother-to-be wearing a t-shirt on your homepage? A large picture like that will do more for you than all those words.

There are a number of other comments that would almost certainly help conversion on your site. (Example: The CTA is below the fold. Should be top right.) You might want to hire a marketing professional to get involved.

We'd also need to know what keywords you're bidding on, what your ads say, and what landing pages you're using. How close is your message-match between keyword, ad, and landing page? Etc. Etc. These are all things that impact conversion.

The landing page for this Ad has only been https://www.poeticwear.com/baby_to_be_t-shirt.html to advertise the shirt. and no other page.

It's not t-shirts you're selling. It's happy, excited, spunky mothers-to-be. Without a picture of a live human enjoying that t-shirt you're showing a boring white cotton shirt with ink on it. Get rid of all the copy and show your target audience enjoying the product ... and a large obvious call-to-action button.

Thank you mgoodman. I will make the appropriate updates. I actually did an infomercial/commerical on the shirt some time ago with an actress wearing it and walking with her spouse eagerly awaiting the arrival of her new baby; I will upload that to the landing page and try and get some still shots from it as well to publish on the page.

    Regards
