Marketing Strategy For Ayurvedic Cigarettes

Posted by Anonymous on 250 Points
I AM SUPPOSED TO DETERMINE THE MARKET FOR 'AYURVEDIC CIGARETTES' WHICH I SUPPOSE IS A NEW PRODUCT AND WOULD BE CONSIDERED AS A NEW PRODUCT LAUNCH. IS THERE ANY BETTER AND EFFECTIVE WAY IN WHICH THE MARKET FOR SUCH A PRODUCT COULD BE ANALYSED? WHAT COULD BE THE VIABILITY OF THE PRODUCT? IF THIS PRODUCT COULD BE SUCCESSFUL OR NOT? WHAT COULD BE STATED AS THE USP OF THIS PRODUCT?

Well, you tell me, because I don't think I get it.
I understand Ayurvedic is supposed to be all about health and well-being.

I suppose Ayurvedic cigarettes, of which I have never heard before, must be herb-based. Is that correct?

But how can you incorporate the USPs of Ayurvedic practice, how can you get any "well-being" from inhaling smoke into your lungs? What other harmful by-products are part of the formula?

Or is the USP of the cigarettes simply that they are less BAD for the smoker than regular, tobacco-based cigarettes? So while smoking them may not be particularly good for you, it's not as bad as smoking the regular stuff.

Who would buy and use these cigarettes, in your opinion? Health nuts? Or Tobacco addicts seeking change?

If you think the market is "addicts", do Ayurvedic cigarettes contain nicotine?

If yes, then how are they less harmful?

If no, then how do the cigarettes help addicts deal with the craving for nicotine?

Tell us more about your thoughts or assumptions on the product and the market and maybe some of the experts here can give you their opinions.

    Cheers

I think your professor is playing a pretty big joke on you.

Is this a viable product? I don't see how!

To make this work, you'd have to be a brilliant marketer, an unethical marketer, or both.
