(Aside: A 50th anniversary is seldom of interest to people outside your organization) Why not simply, "Applying Yourself For 50 Years" or "Helping Students Apply Themselves Since 1965"? Also - be careful that next year your slogan won't be dated.

Is a 50th anniversary somehow more meaningful than a 49th or a 51st? Focus not on the age of the institution, but on the benefit it delivers to the target audience. If you do a great job of fulfilling your mission, nobody will care how old you are. And if you don't, they will care about the age even less.

Sadly, whether your boss (the College's president) likes it or not, a slogan for a 50th anniversary means nothing. The college is 50 years old? That's nice … happy birthday … but really, no one cares.

The 50th anniversary only matters to the president, to the trustees, and to the donors with deep, deep pockets. The problem with this is that these people are NOT the ones being served BY the college. I've worked in higher education at Ivy League level, and it's all about the name.

If your president and trustees REALLY want to make a difference, let's have them admit 50 students every semester and let's have the college pick up the tab for everything: tuition, room and board, subsistence—the works. Now THAT'S something worth talking about; THAT'S something worth remembering. THAT's something that will attract attention.

I feel you should have used programs in place of classes.
