Number Of Client Visits Per Day, Week

Posted by Gina G. Scala on 125 Points
Just wondering if anyone has a client visit per day, week expectation for sales staff? Is the expectation of one person seeing 20/30 clients a day still realistic? Do you have any recommendations?

Twenty to 30 visits per day, if sales people are meeting with those clients one-on-one, seems high. Bear in mind elements such as buying history, price point, and frequency. Then add in travel time, traffic conditions, delays, cancellations due to illness or emergency, bathroom and meal breaks.

Can all of those clients be seen—and can their needs be heard and met—in the time allowed on a daily basis? Weekly quotas may be more realistic.

It depends on how long a salesperson needs to spend with a customer to close a sale.

Are these B2B, B2C, or accosting people random in a mall?

What are you selling, and how long does it take to present the offer?

Is field (outside) sales really the most effective, efficient eay to achieve your sales?

Print magazine sales to previous customers, who in some instances were dropped about six years ago; and new customers.
