Vertical Industry Engines Like Knowledge Storm

Posted by Anonymous on 125 Points
I am looking for information on vertical industry directories like Knowledge Storm (which is for IT industry and IT audience) - it has been pretty successful for passing active leads to us. I am looking to expand the efforts in this area focused on non IT audiences in the Publishing, M&E, CPG, MFG & Retail industry segments - does anyone have some suggestions on venues/directories, best practices and tips.

Thanks,

Shane

Shane, it's very rare for a forum posting to go unanswered. It's your first question here, and you're having lousy luck, aren't you? ;]

My guess is that the info you need is simply not in the members' heads ...or in their Bookmark lists.

Leave the question open for a few more days. If you don't get any responses, you can contact the Moderator and request a point refund.

By the way, it's not a good idea to put your email address directly into a question. Click on the My Profile link and update your contact info there if it's missing.

    Welcome!

I'm only responding with this simplistic answer because it seems like feedback is in short supply on this topic, but...

Have you tried just running Google searches on terms such as "publishing search engine" and/or "publishing industry directory?" I did this, and I *think* I found a few sites that are along the lines of what you're looking for.

    Then again, maybe not!

Hopefully you'll get some additional thoughts. If this doesn't work, you might want to re-post as urgent and maybe bump up the points a little. While most people really aren't here for the points, it can sometimes swing into action someone who could go either way as far as responding.

    Good luck!

Absolutely! The forum has added a new Resource Library. Anybody who adds a useful resource (usually a link to a website, a report, or a recommended book) before the end of this year gets 100 extra question points.

If you don't have your own site on which to publish your findings, maybe one of us can "host" it for you.

Check out the Resource Library by clicking the Search Resources link on the right side of this page.
