I'm based in Huntsville, AL, but can travel to any location if it is worthwhile.

For copywriting, check out the courses offered by John Carlton:

    https://marketingrebel.com/kick-ass-copywriting-secrets-of-a-marketing-rebe...

Likewise the books of Roy H. Williams (aka: The Wizard of Ads).

But if you do NOTHING else on this, read EVERYTHING you can lay your hands on from Gary Halbert:

Allow six months to a year for all of this stuff to sink in, after which you won't need to attend any conferences.

Depending on what you really want to accomplish, you might be better off hiring experienced copywriters and testing their output in a series of A/B tests. In many cases, the fastest way to better copy is to fail quickly and often, learning as you go how to improve copy effectiveness.

Copy that's ideal for print advertising might not be so great for search/online advertising, and what's effective in a television commercial might not be so great as a blog post. Etc.

Said another way, the strategy and test plan may be more important than the skill of the copywriter, and you'll be more valuable as the testing-guru than as a copywriter.

Besides, it's not so easy to teach copywriting skills, which is why good courses, conferences and seminars on copywriting are so rare.
