What are the advantages and disadvantages of e-marketers creating fast-loading, low-graphics versions of their Web sites to accommodate slower connection speeds in emerging economies?

    The only obvious disadvantage could be lower resolution images that don't convey enough detail to be useful.

    I think users in many emerging economies are more likely to be accessing web sites by mobile phones than computers, so the downsizing may not necessarily be so much for slow speeds, but to match the screen sizes they are using to view the site.

    In developed economies, it is also good to make a site mobile friendly.
