Best Reel Asthetics+Clients+Content...how do I survive in such a retracted market. Turner built Avid Farm (The Deathstar) has closed all but TWO boutiques in ATL proper. When you say you can't find work, are you saying that (A) you can't find a company for which you can work, or (B) you can't find work as a freelancer?

If (A), perhaps it's time to consider option (B). No?

I don't know exactly what it is that you do, but for what it's worth, we've never met half of our clients face-to-face.

I'd think with your skills and experience that you might be able to find freelance-type work across the country.

And there are always going to be local people who want to work with a smaller service provider with the hope and expectation that they will get better, more personal service.

Don't give up on Atlanta just yet! ;)

    Good luck,

    Paul

I would build a website or have someone do it for you ( I can help, just click on my name).

In the website, maintain a daily blog with an RSS feed so others can syndicate your content.

Write and distrbute a bi-weekly newsletter.

Participate in the Copywriting section of this forum and other relative forums EVERYDAY...make it a part of your routine just like brushing your teeth, drinking coffee, checking your email, etc.

In other words, start networking, networking, networking. Start showing you talents to the relevant communities every day!!!

It works. If you stick with it, you WILL gain recognition, leads, proposals, gigs, projects, etc.

NOw, if you are looking for a J.O.B., polish your resume, brush your hair and start highlighting fax numbers in the classifieds.

I don't mean to be brash, rather, I am being candid.
You can start building your own empire or work for someone trying to build one for themselves.

Please feel free to contact me anytime. Good Luck!
