My Recomendation Debate!!!

Posted by Anonymous on 125 Points
I have recently completed a pilot study on a qualitative basis using in depth interviews, but my assignment requires i make recomendations for an actual study and although i feel my findings are reliable, i still feel a need to recomend elements with a qualitative footing. Is this a correct approach or has the debate on metodology finally been won? Is the sole need of proving credibility ground enough to recomend the use of quantitative methods even when the topic area is clearly much more a qulitative issue? And are there different views for the academic and real world.

I'd say that a BALANCE of qualitative and quantitative findings are the most credible.

You might get better answers here if you can describe the nature of your pilot study.
