Sorry this question doesnt really relate to Marketin, but please help me if you have any knowledge about FDI
(Forign Direct Investment)
My research topic is:
Why is further Multilateral agreement on FDI by WTO, may not be in the best interests of developing countries?
Outlining the reasons for protecting the right of developing countries to regulate FDI as they see fit.
I have came up with a few reasons such as issues concerning national soverignty, crowding out domestic investment, monopoly, balance of payment, change in social structure...etc
However, in order to be persuasive, i need to refer to recent research on the political economy of FDI
I have searched Google, World Bank, WTO, UNCTAD, OECD, ABI/INFORM...
but most of the articles i found talks about how beneficial FDI is to developing countries.
Even the very few articles i found that talks about negative impact of FDI (hence the need to regulate FDI) are based on literature. -- But i need facts and figures to back up my arguments.
Can anyone please help me, eg, maybe the keyword i used for search was not that good....
Plese help ...
