Looking For Case Studies, Stats Of Insurance Companies Using Email Marketing

Posted by Anonymous on 250 Points
We have a prospect we are pitching an email program to and they have asked for "research/stats/info" regarding email marketing within their industry (competitive usage, case studies, etc.). I am looking for resources that can provide this info (or direct me to it).

Prospect background: large national insurance concern targeting B2B customers/prospects only -- e.g. brokers and reps; Insurance services they offer include life insurance, property & casualty, annuity, to name a few. Key competitors include: Travelers Insurance, PacLife, Lincoln Benefit, ManuLife, and certain relevant business units within AIG and ING.

    Hi Emisare:

I can't give you specifics on the industry, I think that will be very difficult to find and the best suggestion, and one I would use if I needed that info, would be to contact one of the bigger ASP's such as Constant Contact or Exact Target and see if they can help you out.

I think they will be quite helpful. Tell them you have a prospect and if they have a proven solution that they have used with insurance companies and if they can give you supportive data, that you will consider using them, which might not be a bad idea if they do have some good customers.

Regardless of what you find out, I would encourage you to move forward and get your prospect away from thinking about industry averages and more towards internal goals and objectives.

Just be sure to make them: Specific, measurable, attainable, realistic, and time-bound and use strong calls-to-action that deliver real value.

    I hope that helps.
