Why Is My Ebook Not Selling?

Posted by Anonymous on 125 Points
I am trying to sell a "seduction guide" to the single male audience. I purchased a weeklong ad on a popular dating website(www.facethejury.com). My homepage is https://webpages.charter.net/metalcolin/ which will soon have its own domain.

The problem I have is that its getting hits and has traffic BUT is not selling... at all. Very frustrating, what am I doing wrong? Any advice is welcome. Thank you.

I agree with the comments above. I went to the web site, and there was nothing there that told me what you are doing (selling a book). In glancing at a few pages, it is still not clear to me what I would be buying, how much it is, what format it comes in, etc. Ask for the sale - have an easy link so that someone can buy the book.

The music sounds like from 1970's adult movie. Not sure if that is what I would use.

Arrh Facethejury, been there a couple of times. My friends keep sending me link to the site with funny pictures.

When i visited your site in Firefox 1.0.4 all I saw was a site with 3 frames. one at the top one in the middle and one at the bottom.

The one at the bottom and top were blank and the one in the middle just had a crap load of text.

If this is your site, then I can see why you are selling any books.

If you know some html then I suggest you visit www.oswd.org and get some free open source web page templates. These are great.

I looked at this as a web designer and it says more about your desire to use and learn Flash, than your potential customers desire to get sex!
It looks cold and dead, like an empty factory environment.

What you need is hot and social with sexy life style images.
'What would my life be like if I could successfully use these techniques' or 'Look at that Joe average with that stunning woman' These are the type of questions that your viewer should be asking.
Not look at the pop up windows and that intro tween!

You should stick to the writing as this is really a job for a designer who can focus on the message. They already know the limits of the software and they understand how to add sex appeal to almost anything.

    This needn't break the bank.

GOOD DESIGN DOESN'T HAVE TO BE EXPENSIVE, BUT GREAT DESIGN SHOULD LOOK EXPENSIVE!
