Letter To Inform Clients That I Am Changing Firms

Posted by Anonymous on 250 Points
Can anyone provide any examples of an announcement/letter that could be used for the purpose of informing my current Financial Services clients, that I will be/have changed firms?

Perhaps a link to a website that offers business letter templates?

Thank you in advance!

A letter is just one strategy.

Making sure they can find you after the move is another.

If you set yourself up on www.Plaxo.com, any clients who are also members will be able to see your new details when you update.

You should be careful about removing client details when you leave. In many jurisdictions, and Internet Privacy is one - the private client information belongs to the client and your current company is only the guardian. By copying this info you may be in breach of the Terms and Conditions under which the clients provided that information in the first place.

And many companies regard this kind of information as Company IP. So don't do anything that may get you into trouble.

    Take care.

I too am looking for a sample letter to inform clients that I have parted with partner and am starting my own firm. None of the links here were helpful. Open to any and all help. Thanks
