I Need Some Creative Ideas To Create More Leads And Appointments For Our Sales Team.

Posted by Anonymous on 250 Points
I need some creative ideas to create more leads and appointments for our sales team. We are a NEW local printer and we definitely do fantastic printing, but hard to get open doors into companies who are happy or can't be bothered to meet with you.

We don't want to compete on price, which can be difficult in a price orientated market. However, our goal is to attain 10 new x $100,000 clients this year. We have 2 already, but still slow.

We've done direct mail and online promotions. The online has worked well and looking to implement a referral system.

Your fabulous input and creative ideas is most valuable.

    PPOZ,

People are social and love face to face interaction. Where are you going to develop relationships? If you are not going anywhere please go where business people gather. Two major things I do whenever developing new leads in a field of business where I am unknown.

1.) Find a mentor. Someone who is very successful in the field of your interest. Build a successful printer relationship in another city, state or country where you are not in competition with their business. Let this relationship be a sounding board for what you need to do to build a customer base. Listen to them very closely and reward them when you become successful off of the suggestions they have guided you on.

2.) Find some organizations where people gather who might use printers. Chambers, Rotary clubs and other organizations have offered a wealth of relationships for me that develop into friendships and have expanded my contact base by light years. They have always brought me more business than I ever imagined. As a successful printer Benjamin Franklin was a member of dozens of groups where people socialized and developed business contacts. Use his example and do the same. You deserve to have a successful printing business so make it happen!

Also take advantage of the relationships you have through former customers, relatives, friends and business associates. One of my best friends and sponsors is a printer. What country are you doing business in? I can't promise you anything but I might be able to talk him into giving you five minutes of his time at your expense. Go to my profile and send me an email including your website if you have one and as much background informatiion on your organization as you can. Is there anything else I can do for you?

    Your Servant, Deremiah, *CPE
