Posted by Deremiah *CPE on 25 Points
Often times when we are trying to get advice from the superstars of KHE some of us miss it. Well here is your final chance to help us before we're gone out of business in 2 HOURS. How do you think I should have phrased the question associated with the link below in order to get more mileage out of the question?

Thanks so much for participating. Is there anything else I can do for you?

    Hey Tate, I feel you

quite an interesting response I really appreciate your sincere reply. Is it possible that we all come to the table with our stereotypes of what we think people are trying to communicate to us? And if so are you saying that there might be some broader terms we can use that make people feel comfortable? And this comfort makes them want to participate and share intimate feelings with others about the topic.

Do you think I should ask the question again...in order to see the difference in impact?

Thanks for your input Tate this is really quite interesting. Is there anything I can do for you?

    W.M.M.A,

I mean more input in order to examine other points of views. I know this might cause the quality of responses to fall but I'm willing to risk that in order to gain knowlege of other perspectives. I hope this answers your question...If it does not just post something that takes us deeper. Thanks Texas "soul" brother.

Deremiah, I'm not sure you can squeeze any more out of that question regardless of how it's phrased. At some point people probably stop responding because they don't see that they can add anything worthwhile to the existing responses (and there are already so many!)

What's missing that you still need? Is this preventing you from getting started on your mini-book?

Start writing anyway! Something new will occur to you along the way, and you can always come back here for more input from your posse...

    Tate,

I was really at getting to the heart of what we can learn from other fields positive or negative about marketing. Truthfully the Tele-Evangelist marketing topic is one of hundreds of studies I am exploring in order to gain more knowledge on how we can do things better or how we can do them worst. Tate great input and feel free to say more if you like.

    Shelley,

you're right...I will close the question down because sometimes you just have to accept that you've milked all of the milk out of the cow. And you know I really appreciate your inspiration. Nothing's missing and I've already gotten started on the framework for the next concept. Thanks for always offering a "FRESH" breath of air and I'm so glad you enjoyed the tape I sent you...Is there anything I can do for you?

Deremiah, I don't think televangelists are master marketers. All too typically, they tend to attract a very homogenous demographic. They don't seem to translate well outside of those demos.

I grew up in the south, and saw my share of these guys...

Ultimately, I think people are interested in others when the other is InterestED in something else. Someone who seems more intent on being Interesting themselves, rather than interested in something and conveying that... that seems a real distinction between the two.

The person busy being interesting is not interesting, except as some sort of anomaly. This is my general take on the 'marketing' performed by many evangelists.

People clearly interested in something, exuding this interest rather than cadenced, hypnotic speech patterns, have a much longer life-time value... lol

So, I worry about 'lessons' being learned from these guys. (Well, at least possibly positive lessons.)

    Hey Deremiah...

What was the problem, speed, quality or quantity of response?

    I might have worded it:

Charisma or Charlatanism: Why do people watch TV Bible Bashers?

    -or-

Evangelism: Important in sales and marketing, or not?

    -or maybe-

Answer this question now, people, or you're gonna burn in Hell!

Hope this helps, Is there anything else I can do for YOU?
