Posted by Anonymous on 250 Points
I work in an advertising company, in Greece. I am presenting to a new client, who owns a hotel with SPA faiclities. i want to know how a SPA is promoted in different countries. i want to know anything that is not ordinary! i want to know names, sites, events, promotional activities...
this SPA is one of the largest in Greece, and it can be considered as a Medical SPA also...not just a relaxing SPA...it is located in quite large town near a mountain ...so there is tourism around the area!

hope u can help me!
Thx!

Sofia, It's nice to know that the SPA you are involved with is one of the largest in the country, it will help a lot, if they have any brand name and that brand is little familier to customers, then the result could become much better, i believe, to display ads or to promote them are not neccessary to be placed in some prominent and very crowded place always. the basic of advertising is not to make viewers recall where he saw the ad last time, i mean your ads should on so many places and so many locations that they won't get the scope even to remember the place where he saw it last time. to do this , it is far better to place many displays in the country, may be smaller, may be bigger, but must contain the THE THINGS YOU ARE GIVING TO YOUR CUSTOMERS AND A PICTURE OF THE THINGS THAT CUSTOMERS WOULD GIVE TO YOU. this brings the transparency between you and customers, and if they see you everywhere then the distence doesn't exist.

    Thanks

    Sofia,
At minimum you should get listed at www.spafinder.com. The marketing people there are pretty aggressive.

Also, start with your local DMCs. Here's a link and explaination of what a DMC is https://www.conworld.net/dmc/countries/Greece.htm

If you want special representation within the US, contact me offline.
