Need Fortune Cookie Sayings

Posted by whimziequiltz on 125 Points
To thank customers who have ordered a quilt from me in the last year, I'm going to be make take-out containers filled with fabric fortune cookies. I'm trying to come up with themed fortunes - sayings that have a quilt or sewing subject. So far I have

- May your days be "pieceful"
- Do not run with scissors
- As ye 'sew', so shall ye reap
- Days stitched with love rarely unravel
- When life gives you scraps, make a quilt

I'd welcome some other ideas...

Thanks,
Deidre

    Hi Whimziequiltz,

Hope you're having a great day!

"A warm quilt makes for a far happier life"

"On a cold winter night when others are counting sheep to get to sleep you count quiltz"

"A glass of warm milk, a cookie and a quilt"

"A quilt a day keeps colds away"

"Two in a quilt are warmer than one in a bed"

Remember our only real problem in life is our failure to be more creative than we’ve ever been. If you “Invent” your opportunity YOU WILL most definitely create your future. Always know that I'm here for you if you need my help. Is there anything else I can do for you?

May your days always MEASURE up.

Make the SCRAPS in your life beautiful.

    SHEARS to you.

Maybe you could incorporate the names of quilts into sayings too. Like--May a DRUNKARDS PATH never lead to your LOG CABIN.

Good luck with this. Great idea.

Here are some good fortune cookie fillers! :)

    Memories are stitched with love.
Love is the thread that binds us.
A family stitched together with love, seldom unravels.
May your bobbin always be full!
Two threads are better than one.
As ye Sew, sew Shall Ye Rip. (sort of like the one you gave)
A day hemmed in prayer seldom unravels.
Blessed are the piecemakers, for they shall quilt forever!
From my hands to your heart!
The soul is fed with needle and thread.
May your sorrows be patched and your joys quilted.
Count your blessings, stitch them one by one.

    Best,

I loved all the 'fortunes' and have a lot to pick from for my cloth cookies. I really appreciate everyone's help. And, Fred, thanks especially for reminding me to include lucky numbers!
