Need Promotion Ideas For Book

Hi Everyone-

I'm looking for some creative promotion ideas for a book targeted to Moms, and caregivers in general.

I've thought of a few online methods (blog, write articles, host a network/forum, participate in chats, perhaps write a few ebooks on the subject.) but I'd like a few more ideas from the professionals.

Any input is greatly appreciated.

    Following methods will give you knowledge how to do promotion for your book?

    1. To do national and international business you should have to have your website.
    2. Register with Amazon.com - Copyright and your ISBN numbers 3. Discount offer for bulk purchase
    4. Advertise in News Paper / schools / Universities according to your subject (Moms, and caregivers)
    5. Word of mouth
    6. Foreign rights sales
    7. 30 DAYS of unlimited access

    Hello, ahodges!

    Well, you missed the greatest OP of this year - the Mother's day. There were quite a bit of options, but now they're gone. I am not going to be negative, though. There is always a chance to promote yourself. All advice above are very good. Website with good interactive program will work perfectly, bot don't forget about your target audience. A lot of mom's don't use internet, they just don't have time for it.

    Let's look at our options. What moms and caregivers do, what are they interested in? Where do they usually go? What do they buy?

    Combine the answers with the answers to the questions about your book - do you promote it locally of nationwide? What type of caregivers are you interested in? Babycare or old people care? I belive, the first one.

    Ok. Here are just the ideas from the surface. Non systemised, but you will get a trace of my thoiughts.

    Products: Diapers. Babyfood. Baby photo albums. Everything else the caretakers use.

    1. Talk to manufacturers, offer mutural advertising. They put a flyer with a discout for your book in some diapers, you put an ad and a discount for a diaper in your book.
    2. Organise a special event. Free baby food with a purchase of your book.
    3. Make a competition. Put a questionaire to your book, the winner will get free food for her baby for a year!
    4. Organize a competition of the most pretty baby with some national newspaper and put the form to fill out in your book.

    Don't forget to advertise the campaigns!
