What Is The Best Way For A Mortgage Company To Market/advertise To Real Estate Agents, Home Improvement Companies, Builders, And Financial Advisors To Get Referral Business For Them?

I am the branch manager of a mortgage company in the Annapolis Maryland area. My problem is that I have loan officers at my office that are not motivated and are not writing loans because the interest rates have risen. Their primary source of business, refinancing home loans, has come to a sudden hault. So I realize that I need to motivate and help them with ideas to get purchase or refinance business. What marketing ideas could get them motivated about marketing to real estate agent, financial advisors, home improvement companies and other referral sources?

    I would definately agree with mbarber that there are some folks who just refuse to prospect. If I were in your shoes, I might try asking each person to submit a plan of action for getting the word out. I'd make sure they know the monkey is on their back, not yours. Independently, I would begin a campaign to develop additional leads - and I would give the leads you develop to the folks who are planning their work, working their plan, and generating their own leads.

    By the way, I also have about 5 years experience generating leads for the Mortgage business (see my profile).
