A bridge is a Transition from one scene to another, in a commercial or program.

I am not aware of an industry term, "Bridge Proposition". So it may be unique to your organization. I would bet that they are talking about "Bridge Transitiion".

    Hi uj2004,

hope you're having a great day. It appears this is a conceptual term that has to do with creating a way for your client to clearly and effectively see the benefit of your proposition. It is a metaphor.

For example in tangible reality we use bridges to build connections between gaps of land right. In geography these man made bridges help to serve us by aiding us in the ability to cross over smoothly from one land mass to another.

Before the bridge we could only see the land on the other side but we could not venture out to experience it. Remember before the bridges these gaps of missing land due to water between land masses or missing pieces of earth prohibited us from a natural connection that would allow us to get to the other side.

If you can understand that we can move on. So a Bridge Proposition only allows your client to now smoothly see the connections between two ideas that were not previously connected (or two ideas that were hard to see in relationship with one another. The Bridge Proposition is metaphor. The bridge proposition is the idea that connects two thoughts that were previously seperated. Ideally the connection of your idea to their solution.

If my explaination doesn't help try this persons explaination on for size. Let me know if this helps you?

The bridge in sales-- is in handling objections. A customer says "that'll never work" and you give credibility to their statement by bridging -- saying something like "a lot of people say that at first , however after hearing about my wonderful products benefits, they ...." A bridge is a way to deal with the objection without insulting the buyer.

    Hope that helps, Carol
