Please Critique My Site

Posted by Anonymous on 50 Points
I have been working hard on a website and I would greatly value any comments / ideas / sugguestions for this site:

(inactive link removed)

The goal of this site is to extend the value of the current firefighter calendar to customers and create an aditional reason for corporate sponsors to pay to have their logo in the calendar.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Rob, your link takes me to a page of folders. I looked at the link to "template." If that's the site you want feedback on... oh, dear!

Please don't take offense, but this looks like the home page to an amateur soft-port site. I was startled to see the doe-eyed woman undressing, because I expected to see hunky firefighters there. I don't think you're going to get corporate sponsors with this, unless they're selling beer or condoms!

Gawd, I'm so uptight about it that I guess I couldn't even type the WORD right! Not soft-port, soft-porN.

I tend to agree with SRyan. It is very amatuer looking, kinda tacky with the chick, and it doesn't even show the calendar except for a very small picture of the cover on the order page.

In addition, there is not a description of the calendar, it's purpose, or any pics of the interior images.

Lose the chick and the greeting card stuff, and use the space to talk about, display, and sell the calendar.

    Good Luck!

Rob, you should consider closing this question now, then posting a new question (and a new URL) when your site has the images that you are describing.

You also might want to assign a higher point value to your next question to encourage more people to give you feedback. You could even BUY points (a bargain at $5) to boost its value. I don't know of any better way to get such high quality feedback for so little money!
