Spanish Translator For Mexican Marketing

Does anyone know of a good freelancer for English-to-Spanish translation? My company is starting to have a presence in Mexico, so we plan to translate our web site and some of our collateral. Our business is a combination of high-tech and industrial, but we certainly DON'T need a technical person. I just need someone who can do a good job with translation, and is not intimidated by the fact that our product is high-tech (as opposed to marketing something like Coca Cola!) Thanks!!!

    Go to guru.com or Craigslist.org tbere are plenty available for freelance.

    I used to do marketing for China, Mexico (and all Latin America) and Europe. All of my business managers in these locations preferred the translations I would receive from an online service called "TransXPert."

    Their prices were very reasonable and the translations were always the mot accurate (although the fluent business managers usually tweaked them just a little to their liking). You submit the document in MSWord, and they send it to someone living in that specific country who is associated with them and fluent in the language. You will receive it back within a day or two in the language you need. They also do reverse translations.

    Most of my documents were technical but some were your typical marketing pieces. I will advise you that it would be a good idea to find the service you like best and stay with it. I also suggest always asking for the same person to do the translation since the assignments might be passed along to whoever is not busy.

    Also, translating to Spanish is tricky. There are so many different dialects, which they may ask you your preference. That's why I recommend using the same service and requesting the same person to do all of your translations. Also, for this reason, don't be surprised if someone comments that some things are wrong or not translated correctly - it is just the dialects. (People used to comment at a hospital I worked at on my marketing pieces - obviously the Spanish dialect is slightly different in Chicagoland versus Mexico City).

    You should try Language123, great website where you can bid your translation project to many translators at the same time.

    We use them every time we require translation services of any kind, from text and localization to interpretation.
