Choosing Law As A Copywriting Niche!

Posted by vaidiksingh02 on 250 Points
I'm a law student. I've been doing copywriting for a while now, and really wanted to specialize in a specific niche. Do you think it's a good idea to specialize in legal services and tech providers. I'm about to complete my Bachelor's degree in law. Does this industry need copywriters for their channels? Such as website copy or content for their content marketing purpose? I couldn't get a specific and clear answer to this yet! Hope you guys will clear my doubts, or at least help me in other ways.

It sounds like a good idea. Have you asked your teachers or other lawyers you've met for their input?

I imagine you will want to freelance. Where would your clients be? How will you find clients?

You might want to talk with someone who will be in your target audience and see what advice or information they might offer.

Unless you turn out to be a copy writing rock star, you'll do (as you might suspect) better financially in law. Copy is often run past a legal department but I believe most businesses would balk at a lawyer's rate for the actual writing. That said, there may be a niche somewhere. Keep researching.
