Mission And Vision

Posted by Anonymous on 25 Points
hi ..

can somebody help me compose a mission and vision for our 2 companies? 1 is more concentrated on wholesaling of fashion business and second is more on direct selling business. iv found this mission and vision, but of cors i cannot copy this, we have the same business like them so actually that is the mission and vision we want also.

Mission
"Our mission is to be a force for good throughout the world by empowering people to improve lives with rewarding business opportunities, innovative products, and an enriching, uplifting culture."

Vision
"Our vision is to become the world's leading direct selling company by generating more income for distributors than any other company."

I'd advise getting the book "the mission primer" it contains some worksheets, a Cd and will help these ideas to bubble up.

The statement should be broad. I like to think the 3P's, people, product and profit. I think the statement you posted can get rid of some of the flowery fluff-- "force for good??" -- I see where you are going, but just be more direct. And there is no rule that says you can't take fromthe competition what is good, and leave the rest behind.

You can leave off "Our mission is..." and "Our vision is..." and just give the statement. Both are too long. The best mission statements are short, and specific. For example, Microsoft had one in the early days: "A computer on every desk and in every home"

    How about:
Improving lives with rewarding business opportunities, innovative products, and an enriching, uplifting culture.

I'm still not pleased with that, but it's more on point, without all the excess fluff.
