What Should My Postcard Headline Be?

Posted by Anonymous on 25 Points
Hello there,

I am sending out postcards to market our sub shop. What should our offer be. We are marketing to offices in the area. Does the headline need to be an offer? Also, would it be wise to print an abbreviated version of the menu on the back of the oversized postcard?

How many offers should we include. Would more than 2 be too much? Can you kindly help me organize the postcard, i.e. coupons on the front or the back. Thank you very much for your help. We deliver too, but there's a delivery charge.

I would like to sincerely thank everyone who contributed to my last post regarding our Italian Deli. I am sorry if I am posting in the wrong location. I will be implementing pointers from each and every response that I received. I am new at marketing and everyone's advice is so very much appreciated. Thanks a million for your help.'

(I'm not even sure if I'm suppose to sign my name in this forum)! Forgive me.

The headline should be the primary reason to have the person continue reading. For example, "Italian Deli Business Lunch Specials".

A menu can be helpful. But you don't need a full menu - just highlights of your best sellers or seasonal favorites.

Spend some time collecting coupons that you get in newspapers, flyers, direct mail, and even online. What appeals to you? Why? What are targeted to your prospects? Try to emulate these.
