    Hi,

the right answer will be "Diseños patentados" witht he s at the end to make it plural. the rule is that, if the adjective is plural, then the verb must also be plural, except with some exceptions.

    Dear BARQ,

The second version "Diseños patentados" is correct. In many Romance languages the apparent "logic" of English and its order of clause, verb, adjective, plural and so on doesn't apply.

    I hope this helps.

    Hi Gary,

Sorry, but I'm a little confused with your answer, but perhaps, I can learn something from it. What I understood is that the order of clause, verb, adjective, plural doesn't apply so why did you agreed with my answer and made patentados plural? if it doesn't apply, wouldn't it have to be singular?
Don't mean to be a pain, just looking to learn from this.

    Best regards,

    Dear Edgar,

What I meant was that in English, the phrase (in this case) would
    be: "Patented designs".

But in Spanish (and possibly in French and Italian, none of which
I speak fluently), the phrase ought to come out as "Designs patented".

Depending on one's culture or language, one seems logical, the other does not, but both, in their own language must surely be correct. I'm not sure if all plurals in all Romance languages are the same as they might be in a direct translation into English.

    Sorry for any confusion.
