Spanish Translation Needed

I need to translate "This side down" into (North American) Spanish.

How does "este lado hacia abajo" sound?

    My wife, who understands Spanish pretty well, says the difference between ""este lado hacia abajo" and "este lado abajo" is that the first one means "turn it face down" and the second one means "put it downward." The second one would be more like "put it on (or nearer to) the floor."

    She's not really a native Spanish-speaker, but she grew up in a household where Spanish was the primary language ... even though school was entirely in English.
