How To Close Email Annoucning New E-newsletter?

Posted by Anonymous on 50 Points
Hi Everyone,
We're launching a new E-Newsletter -- and, had help from the group on the title of the newsletter (thanks again!).

I'm sending a pre-launch email to the distribution list which includes More Prospects than current Customers. The pre-launch email is announcing the E-Newsletter and delivers a few days prior to the first issue. I have a 'standard closing sentence' I can use but it doesn't seem most appropriate for both groups, i.e., Prospects. Any thoughts?

Standard Closing sentence:
Thank you for your continued support of (company name). It is always appreciated.

thanks in advance,
Denise

I'm headed in the same direction as Phil, but I would go farther.

Unless the number one thing your audience most desires is to be properly appreciated for their attention, I would change them both. While being polite is highly respectable, I would close every email with a reminder of the value you deliver and why they should keep reading your emails. "Thank you for reading the latest news from the #1 source for...."

Or, you could give a teaser about what is coming next, "Don’t miss our next issue where we reveal the 7 secrets that J&J used to..."

    Best of Luck, JohnnyB.
