Copy To Remind Students To Book Course

Posted by rum68br on 800 Points
I work for an educational facilities who is trying to remind students about booking their courses for next year. The copy is due to go on a e-shot which will be sent out to current students. Any help would be appreciated.

    David,

If you had to close enrollment early in the past, that is an important thing to point out. I'm not real keen on "space is going fast" especially if students know they never have a problem getting confirmed at the last minute.

David - my advice is to create a series of emails, because that way you'll maximise response:

    1. A reminder! Have you booked your course for next year? Click on the link below to enrol now!

    2. HAVE YOU BOOKED? If you haven't booked your course for next year hurry and enrol today! Click on the link below to enrol.

    3. DON'T LEAVE IT TOO LATE! If you haven't booked your course, DO IT NOW! Click on the link below to enrol:

    4. What if you miss the deadline for booking your course? Enrol now! Click on the link below to secure your course:

    Hope that helps,

I also work in education and we have high demand for our courses so we remind students using themes like these:

Register for your 2012 courses now! The sooner you register, the more likely you are to get the courses you want and need to graduate.

    Or

Don’t delay your education….it’s too important for your career success! Register now for 2012 courses. Finish your education and enter your career to start making money sooner.

If you don’t have high demand and your courses never fill up, you may want to consider using something like an early registration incentive such as:

Register for your 2012 courses before {insert a key date here] and be entered into a draw to win [list prizes here]. Prizes could include a tuition reduction amount, laptop or iPad, bookstore discount certificates, etc.

I agree with Peter Hobday above..and forgot to mention it in my post Enrolment management of students in the recruitment process is built upon an integrated set of communications tools aligned in a series built around a theme and desired objective.

As time goes by your messages should evolve. ie. "register early", then next one would be "deadline coming soon, register now", next would be "it's not too late to register", then "late registration on now", etc.

What's the advantage for the students to book their courses soon/now? Are prices going up? Popular classes filled? Ensure adequate space/materials for class? Focus on the message most likely to impact them, and then make that the thrust of the message (what would happen if they delay).
