Effective Direct Mail Campaigns For Trade Show

Posted by Janet O. on 250 Points
We have our largest trade show this January. We would like to develop three different direct mail pieces that are mailed out to our existing customers and prospects (approx. 200). The mailings will be sent out the beginning of December, mid-December, and the beginning of January. We will be having an interactive demonstration at our booth, in which one of the mailings will feature this. Attendees will bring this mailing to our booth and have the opportunity to win a prize. I would like each mailing to be different and am needing to make them as cost effective as possible. Any innovative content and mailer suggestions on these direct mail pieces that will inspire these customers and prospects to visit our booth would be appreciated.

    Hi Shelley,

We manufacture specialty cement products. Our booth will have a car racing theme. We will have a small race track where we will be making concrete repairs on the track in between races. The attendees will get to race these cars and winners will receive a prize. Our customers are buyers, contractors, engineers, architects. This trade show is in Las Vegas, but attracts people from across the country.

I have an email out to 'marketingprofs' so that I can fill my profile page. I can't seem to locate how to fill this out.

    Thanks,

    Janet

Janet, that sounds like a wonderful plan to draw booth traffic. I like Maxxt's ideas for mailings. But I'll come back if I can think of more.

Just wanted to thank you for your responses. I was already incorporating some of Maxxtdog's suggestions, but the pole position is a new one that I will consider. I'm hoping that there is more response in the future for questions posted.
