It depends. You will have to contact the manufacturer for the answer. Or you could have someone represent you in contacting the manufacturer, e,g, a lawyer, a marketing or business consultant or somebody who already knows key people at this manufacturing company.

What if? Do you know first if there are buyers for this product? Do you know there's a market and do you know this the product solves a problem?

You'll have to get in touch with the manufacturer. They may get cross if you start branding it in your own name without asking them first.

Anyway, what's wrong with their name? Surely if you could sell some of their stuff, just ask them to give you a slice of the purchase price for every one they sell.

As the others have shown, we would need more information to be able to fully answer the question.

What you are asking about sounds like private labeling. This is commonly done, but does require that you work with the manufacturer.

Using an example, if the product you are interested in is Coca Cola, you would have to contact them to see if they would be willing to sell it under a different name. In this case, likely not, as I suspect that Coke does not private label their drink. But there are other drink makers who make similar products who would (which is what the grocery stores do when they sell cola drinks under their own brand name). So you could contact one of them and find out if they would make batches for you.

Of course, the issue of packaging, labeling, etc. all come up. Who does it, etc. Can be done either way, but of course you will be paying for it one way or the other.
