Building A Mailing List

Posted by Nolan on 125 Points
I recently bought a New Affiliate marketing System.
For the last week I have been marketing it every day but for some reason I am getting no interest. Does anyone have any Idea Why this could be.

Is there something I have not seen or something I have missed.
Below are my links to my list of products in this campaign if anyone has any Ideas to help I would appreciate the input...

Did you write the copy yourself, or is this off-the-peg stuff? Are you getting many visits? How are you publicizing your material - social media, PPC, SEO?

What are you offering that's different? The templates look tired. Affiliate marketing is way harder today than it was in 2002, even 2010.

You may find that your skills are better put to finding a local businessman who needs a few more sales. It costs them nothing, and could make you money if you agree to a finders fee. Even if you don't make much money initially, you'll get a lot more traction because their business and customer base are far more distinct than the "make money fast" niche. That means targeting them is a lot easier, it still takes a lot of work though. What's more, acting in this way and showing you're both effective and responsible is as good a way to becoming a consultant as any.

When you say "marketing it every day" - what exactly does it mean to you? Are you sending out the offer to 1000s of people - and getting no response? Are you calling prospective clients and introducing them to your proposal? Are you doing informational interviews to gauge interest and identify likely niches? Have you started a PPC / Display Network campaign? Have you installed analytics to determine where there's interest?

The pop up box: "Join our weekly newsletter to recieve free gifts" pops up before anyone has had the chance to read your headlines. Not good.

This all looks a little PLR-is to me. You can do better by fleshing each site out into a blog-based platform, rather than as an HTML set up. Overall, it all tends to look at little 1999. Might you improve on that?

Gary has the right idea and keen observation. The style of your site is a red flag for PLR - turn key IM stuff that anyone searching for the topics you promote has seen many times before. I also agree with your dysfuncional attempt to capture my email. Not only does it come up too quickly, it also offers me nothing for my email; at least offer an ethical bribe (ebook, video course, "5 reasons you need a list", etc.).

Your hardest task will be driving internet traffic to the page to have an opportunity to get them on your list. Much like the dog training, FOREX, get rich, and dating niches, internet marketing is a heavily contested niche. Authority is the biggest draw and you only do that by establishing your credibility. Again, why listen to you? Why should I give you anything? What have you given me?

It's not all lost. You have the sights up, though they have crummy domains ;). Take your content on a few of the products and make a PowerPoint slide show where you answer a few concerns. You can save the slide show as a video and upload it to your YouTube channel. If you can, embed the video on these sights. Write a few articles with the content you have and post them on article directories (thought these are not as effective as they once were). Maybe even look at running a few adds in Facebook. Whatever you do, you must provide so much value that I almost feel guilty ONLY giving you my email.

Bottom line, you need to drive manufactured traffic to the sights, no one is going to find them when you are facing such a competitive search terms. Fix your on page SEO and change the offer on your lead capture to offer value for the email you request.

Not so easy, this IM stuff, huh? Best of luck.

Thanks to both Gary Bloomer and rfueyo You both hit he nail on the head. I have already discontinued my marketing there and I am concentrating on the video and articles as Mentioned.
However I am also changing those sites to include video and Look less 1999 as stated .

    Thanks again.
