Somewhere Between Original Content And Syndication

Posted by Anonymous on 125 Points
I want my commerce website to have really, really good content but don't want to invest the money and effort to generate that all by myself. There are a lot of good posts out there (on just about any topics these days) and to be the best content creator isn't my business goal. However, I do not want to syndicate entirely from 1 or couple sites: most sites, even respectable ones like WSJ or huffingtonpost.com don't always have blog posts I like.

My question - how can I repost specific blogs I liked from various sites without infringing their copyright? Is attribution enough? How do I do it technically so I don't have to copy/paste everything? What's the way to syndicate one post at a time?

The best way is to ask the writers for permission. In many cases, they'll be flattered - and might benefit from a link to their site from yours'.

Really, what you like isn't the point. What kind of content are your READERS most likely to appreciate?
