How Can I Learn Salesforce, Marketo, And Hootsuite

Posted by KathyAd on 125 Points
Hi, peeps. I have a question about CRM and marketing automation. I am an online marketing person, but my company does not have the budgets for modern CRM and marketing automation. So we are behind the times when it comes to segmentation, drip marketing, lead scoring, analytics, and all this good stuff I read about.

I am jobhunting and want to teach myself Salesforce and Marketo. I was thinking of literally buying just 1 seat for me — 1 of Salesforce and 1 of Marketo — so that I can experiment. It seems like this would not cost much money to do for a few months.

What do people think of that as a way to learn CRM and marketing automation? Can you suggest any videos, tutorials, or sites where I can learn correctly? Are there apps you would suggest I also get for Salesforce (ex. I hear people talk about Radian). And lastly, I do alot of social media and am pretty well-versed in Hootsuite. Does Hootsuite do a good job of working with Salesforce?

Thanks so much for any input. I really appreciate it, as I don't know where to begin.

You'll find lots of training for all these platforms on YouTube. Sign up for whatever is most affordable
for you and instead of watching TV or farting around on social media, spend a few weeks becoming familiar with the platforms, with the training, and with the ways these platforms help with CRM.

Salesforce offers a 30 day free trial as well as a free developer version.
Marketo likewise offers a free trial.
