Know-How Exchange : Advertising/PR

This is a really good example of really bad marketing. First off it is horrendously targeted. A local, time limited event is not appropriate for a worldwide site. It destroys trust and credibility of the brand because any brand that has to stoop so low as to spamming marginalises itself. A flat 50% off with no apparent caveats suggests the standard pricing is way out of line and this is one really desperate company (possibly in financial trouble). There is no positive in the message - no reason to buy, no benefit - just an attempt at a give away, so you have to ask if what they are giving away has any value at all. Which together ultimately leave the impression of steer well clear.
