Emarketing, Digital Marketing, Internet Marketing

In looking at redefining some job titles, I'm curious as to what the distinctions are between:
- Digital Marketing
- Internet Marketing
- Online Marketing
- eMarketing (or is it E-Marketing?)
- Electronic Marketing

I get the sense that anyone who says there is a rational distinction between these is just making it up. Am I wrong? Because from what I've seen online, people who provide definitions of each seem to contradict each other.

What do you think? And what do you think is becoming most universal?

According to Google Trends, "Digital Marketing" and "Online Marketing" win in the realm of search terms

But is that really relevant to description of the field? I'm looking for what is appropriate for job titles... and if it matters at all.

They're all pretty much the same thing.

one thing to consider: how do you want to describe this person's function to people outside the organization? People inside the company already have a pretty good idea of what people do. You might look at this person's role in the sales process, and choose a title, which will describe the interactions desired with those outside your company.

Except for "electronic marketing" (which to me sounds like someone who is marketing electronics products), they all would mean the same to m.

Overall, these definitions mean the same thing. What is important, however, are the associations that come to the mind to those who read these terms. For example, online marketing seems to connotate something focuses more on the traditional web markerting and digital marketing has more of a sense that it involves hand-held device applications. Of course, this is subjective and you can't expect everyone to see the things in the same way.
