Remove Press Release Of Former Employees?

Posted by chritz on 25 Points
We have had several people leave semi-high profile positions on our sales team — which I put out press releases for upon their hiring 9 & 12 months ago —

Now that they are gone should I remove the press release from our website about them or leave it on there?

Retaining this kind of material once someone has left serves little purpose for your company.
Consider removing it. You might also want to ask yourself why "several" high profile people
have left within the last year.

Thank Gary! And we I know why they have left.

I just wasn't sure if I should remove because it will leave a 404 error if someone stumbles on a link from the internet somewhere.

Hmm. To avoid the 404 issue, consider replacing the content (or updating it) with a new message that thanks visitors for viewing this page, and that redirects their attention to someone who can help them, or that directs their attention to a valuable offer that's too good to pass on.

if they came, did their job, and now have moved on after finishing what they needed to do, leave it there. But if they came, didn't get much positive done, and then left, remove them.
