We Are A Food Pantry Needing A Tag Line

Posted by rayhelenquickel on 250 Points
We were part of the Catholic Church until February of this year and are now an independent non-profit food pantry. We are retaining "Catholic" in our name but we want to make sure that people understand that we serve all people in need in the community. Also, we want to attract volunteers from all of the community.

We need a tag line that expresses our mission to all those in need in our community.

    What's your name/location?
Are there other food pantries in your area? If so, do they have/need taglines?

Our name is the Catholic Harvest Food Pantry in York PA.

I have seen "Providing Emergency Services" and "Serving the Needy Since 1962".

Have you spoken to the people you will be serving? They would be the best ones to tell you what message is important for them to hear when seeking help.

Not yet. Just beginning the thought process.

Thank you for your good idea.

I think I could make a case for not having a tagline. The people you serve don't need to be reminded they are needy, and they know what a food pantry is.

What purpose would the tagline serve? Who is the target audience? What would you want the tagline to communicate to that target audience?

The purpose would be to let donors know that we are not just a Catholic organization and that we serve all people in the community.
